I just wonder if this isn't where Link4 Learning already is?

The following quote is from Will Richardson's blog, Weblogg-ed:

Recently, in the middle of a presentation to about 500 teachers, one woman raised her hand and said something along the lines of ?Look, I?m not the most technologically savvy, but I have to tell you that in a lot of ways I think all this technology is the devil. I mean my kids plagiarize stuff left and right, they don?t learn how to spell because of spell check, and I just think we?d be better off without it.? And a number of people applauded.

This is nothing new. Of course all this technology is the devil. Terry Gilliam had his Evil Genius in Time Bandits explain how it works.

In a Times Online article, Berners-Lee gave an example of how the semantic Web would work:

"Imagine if two completely separate things--your bank statements and your calendar--spoke the same language and could share information with one another. You could drag one on top of the other and a whole bunch of dots would appear showing you when you spent your money."

"If you still weren't sure of where you were when you made a particular transaction, you could then drag your photo album on top of the calendar, and be reminded that you used your credit card at the same time you were taking pictures of your kids at a theme park. So you would know not to claim it as a tax deduction."
